Known in the industry as "top-down rail construction" our fixtures, templates, shims, and plates allow rail to be set at elevation, line and gauge while rail fixation anchorage is hung in place from the rail prior to supporting concrete.
By supporting the rail from above, contractors are able to make adjustments in gauge and alignment with ease prior to pouring concrete. Ultimately reducing the need for additional shimming and adjustments typically required in “bottom-up” installation.

From the line side adjust elevation, super, cant, and gauge
The rails are fully supported on the "IronHorses"
From the rails use IHECO Plate clamp assemblies or DF templates to hang the IHECO Anchorage Assembly threaded inserts in exact location.
Form and pour track structure.
Release Templates or Plate Clamp Assemblies and raise the rails with the fixtures.
Anchor rails to structure using DF assembly components.

Gauge Support Fixtures
One of the first products offered by Iron Horse Engineering, gauge support fixtures allow for "top-down" construction, significantly reducing installation times. By supporting the rail from above, contractors are able to make adjustments in gauge and alignment with ease prior to pouring concrete. Direct Fixation Plates
Steel rail plate for anchorage direct to concrete bridge deck or tunnel base. Fabricated for running rail or guard rail.
Direct Fixation Pads
Isolation pad providing rail dampening under rail plate.
Steel anchors set in place with rail to allow for pours to stabilize exact location. Used with Iron Horse Gauge Support Fixtures for DF fasteners on bridge becks.
Plate Clamps Assembly
PCA are a critical component in top down direct fixation construction used for temporary support of DF fasteners. These clips facilitate proper anchorage embedment during plinth / concrete pours pours allowing release for rail temperature expansion.
Direct Fixation Shims
DF Shims placed under the DF pad, used for adjustments to rail elevation.
Insulated bushings provide electrical isolation for anchorage assembly plates and bolts
Slobber Plates are placed under the DF fastener in top down construction method as a surface form for concrete plinth pours.
Embedded Anchors & Epoxy
Nylon threaded rail anchorage inserts used in conjunction with bolts, washers, insulated bushings and DF Plates in DF rail construction.
